The objectives of ESEPIE are:
- Overall presentation and expression of the issues of the Greek energy market, as well as monitoring, study, analysis and formulation of proposals on matters related to the energy market and, in particular, the energy trade and supply sector;
- Professional consulting in the constantly changing regulatory process for the deregulation of the energy market and participation in the decision making of legislative or technical committees on a national, European or international level;
- Formulation of positions on institutional matters concerning the operation of the electricity market, as well as the promotion of the contribution thereof to the development of the Greek society and economy;
- Development of initiatives to further develop electricity supply in the Greek market under conditions of fair competition;
- Promotion of the deregulation of the electricity market in Greece, in accordance with the provisions of both domestic and European law;
- Objective provision of information and support of collective and innovative initiatives concerning the value of electricity for all forms of Economy;
- Taking initiative and provision of information to the public and local bodies for saving energy and the rational management thereof;
Assistance and contribution to any initiative for the update of the legislative framework concerning the energy market;
